I figured out what my problem is with my steering pump, but none of the local dealers have the parts. The drive pin on what I would call the crank shaft is gone. This must not be the first time it has happened, because the shaft and "orbital" are pretty badly worn. I cobbled it all back togather, so I can feed with it, but I would sure like to find either a used pump, or the parts to fix this one correctly.

I am not real sure what kind of pump I have. When I put it on last night, all I can find on it is the word "patton"? The local dealer sent me a parts break down of it, and told me it is the same pump that was used on the 550,560,and 570s adn the supers. It works great, other then the drive shaft is worn, and I don't have the correct drive pin in it. Thanks Nick

Let us be a little more correct here. First of all what make and model of pump do you have? Last Cockshutt I worked on had an Eaton pump but you may be better off withsomething else especailly if you now have hydrostatic steering. How about more details on your steering unit. J.
