I am looking at a 1955 Oliver, has the over/under/direct, in pretty good shape, what's it worth?

Lot's of variables to consider here - Tire condition, engine hrs, over/under/direct working, transmission, clutch, hydraulics, etc. And take heed of potential costs associated with a tractor of this size and age. You can triple your purchase price in repairs in a hurry. In my area I would estimate poor as $3000, Avg. at $4500 and very good at $6000. We did own a 1955 at one time and had good luck with it. Traded it off on a new 2-105.

RUN! RUN away fast!! Just kidding, do you know the owner, that helps alot. History on these critters is a great help, cause one can sink lots of money in this model, don't get me wrong, wonderful tractor, but can get very expensive. A little history goes along ways so to speak. Check the archives for the best info on this model it had some problems so to speak.

Anywhere from $3-7,000. $9,000 if it's in imaculate condition with no hours on the engine.
