Ok guys. Looks like I have a replacement generator on it's way to replace the bad unit on my Super 55. I was wondering if you could give me a quick rundown on what goes where from the generator to the voltage regulator to the battery. I just want to confirm that my wiring is correct (since I don't believe the generator has worked since I've had the tractor) and probably replace a few of the old wires.

In a previous post about my generator, someone mentioned "polarizing" the generator/voltage regulator. Is this necessary, and if so, how is it done?

Thanks in advance,
Justin

Forgot to mention that this is a 12v, negative ground system. Don't know if that makes a difference.

Well they were POSITIVE ground when new so if it was hooked up backwards and run that way if the leads on the ammeter were not reversed it will show discharge while it is running. More questions? J.
