A few years ago I tried researching a Multiwing fan for my 1955. I got some information from the Multiwing people and ran into a road block. I found some info, but could not find what the air flow and the static air pressure through the radiator on a 310 with a turbo. I have called AGCO and their main supplier of engine parts, but no one knows the answers to the above questions. Is there anyone out there who knows or has access to Oliver engineering data concerning these questions? Also, could a 6 blade fan from a Herceles engine from some other Oliver tractor be adapted successfully to give additional cooling to a 310 Waukesha?

the fewer the blades the better the air flow, because the blades get a "better bite" of air. if you are overheating did you try getting your radiator cleaned?

In southern NM and AZ, where it gets hot-hot-hot-, some of the guys used to mickey-mouse adapters to get bigger fans on when stock ones weren"t available. The only problems I remember were if the adapters weren"t centered perfectly (fan out of balance) and one case of insufficient clearence (fine on the level, but scraped the radiator on rough ground). If it has no shroud, try mickey-mousing one to see if that helps. Good luck.

Hello! When I was repowering tractors with Cummins engines some years back, I purchased a few fans from Crowley Company in Burton, Ohio. They build a high-quality product. They will need the hub diameter, fan diameter, drive speed or ratio, radiator surface area. I would suggest a 6 or 8 blade fan with a fairly aggressive pitch. We installed these on 1655's with a Cummins 6B5.9. They always run cool. Best wishes!
