I have a true oilfield gk195 engine (gas) that I am putting in an Oliver 88 for a pulling tractor.
It did not run when I bought it and I was wondering if anyone knows what the operating RPMS might have been for it and would the govenor be set different than the original 88 engine.

Come on here: That engine may have a totally different governor,In fact it may even be a constant speed governor. How much RPM are you looking for?

I will build the engine to have the most power between 2000 and 2500 RPMS. Some pulls will allow up to 3200. Mostly I will pull in 20% over stock RPM classes. Plans are to have 495 ci and about 200 hp.
