Oil Pressure Bypass - Super 55

Well, I found the culprit of my hydraulic problems on my 1955 Super 55. After I removed the hydraulic unit, I found the spring and plunger from the oil pressure bypass (Fig O759B, pg 48 of the I&T) stuck through my cylinder housing.

I'm in need of a replacement spring and retainer for this (latest hydraulic cover w/ filter housing in front). Do any of you have anything that would work or know what would work at the local hardware store? Thanks in advance.

Kent,

Awesome! I was actually in contact with you about a month ago to see about picking up your pump (on ebay). Times are hectic and I'm just now getting around to digging into this mess. I'll send you an email either through this site or directly from our previous correspondences.

Thanks!
Justin

Farmritch,

Nice to see a fellow Indianan (Sorry, no Hoosier here. I went to Purdue!) on here. I'm down in French Lick (south-central Indiana). Since purchasing my Super 55, I've noticed 2 other S55s on my way to work, a 550 on my way to church, and I've got a neighbor that has at least 3 of the larger Oliver tractors (a couple 88s maybe, and a newer one that I'm not familiar with).

I've got family up in Muncie (getting closer!) that go to the antique tractor shows and auctions quite a bit. It's always nice to have a good network when it comes to these awesome tractors!
