I can see the plunger goes in and out when i move the handle. Trying to figure out where the valve would be stuck or if it is something eles.

Thanks for your help! I loosened up the big nut in the front and the 3 pt went down, then put it back together and it works great!

Larry could i take the the big plugs off with out taking the whole valve off? I can see both big plugs. I can get to the front plug with wrench the back one in the rear i would have to unhook an arm to get a wrench down in there. Under the plugs are they sping loaded or is there anything to watch for? How would i free the valve. Also what would cause it to stick or what would i have to do so it doesnt happen again.

The lowering valve is the top spool. It is easier if you loosen the nut while the valve is bolted in the tractor. There are small parts in there. You will need to take the valve off to work on it. Look at the pin that pushes the ball off the seat. That ball has to move off its set to lower. I thought of this after I answered you yesterday. I have seen them swedge over on the end and become too short to knock the ball off the seat. If the pin is too long it holds the ball off the seat and the 3-point will not stay up. More questions? J.

Is this tractor new to you? If so and you pushed the 3 point handle all the way down the 3 point also will not lower. Also see if you ave any "free travel" in the lift arms. Also double check that no pin has come out of draft control linkage. Check that and get back with us.

The lowering valve is inside the valve for the 3 point,so you can't see it move. You can remove the whole valve from the top and free the valve under on of the big plugs.

Is this a tractor you just got or have had awhile. My 1600 does the same thing if you set it up for use with a one way cylinder, I know the 1650 is slightly differant. On my 1600 there is a bolt in the right side of the housing that has to be turned all the way in for the 3-point to lower.
