I just did. 77 Standard gas, intake manifold has a hole burned in the side. Bought the new one, gently seperated the old two and Pop brazed exhaust cracks up. I surfaced the intake/exhaust joint, made a spacer since the two were so out of vertical alignment. The kicker is that the end surfaces of the ports are quite a ways out. That would be horizontal alignment. The bolt pattern on the new intake is smaller across than the original so I clearanced the holes in the ex. manifold in the direction to help the current problem. The ports aren't kittywhompass from end to end, just all 3 intakes set back from the exhaust by about 0.10". All 3 are pretty evenly "out".

Are all these ports supposed to be so far out of plane? All the ring gaskets for the job seem to be the same thickness so I'd think not. Ollie gurus, spill yer guts. :>)
