I am trying to find out what fuel pump is on the 3208 Cat motors that were in the Oliver 2255 and the White 4-150. I am wondering if it is a P pump. Also is this the motor that can be turbocharged. I am thinking about building a super farm pulling tractor.

The 3150 and 3160 had inline pumps from the factory but have no where near the fuel needed to run superfarm. The newer sleeve meter didn't have the fuel the older ones had unless you find a T-3 and do some work on it. If you want to pull superfarm you need to find the right series block to start with and build from there. Marty

CAt makes their own fuel pump. On the 3208 it is what Cat calls a "sleeve metering" system. The pump is like a small V with four cylinders firing out of each side. It was turbocharged in some applications.

Do you know if you can use the other type fuel pumps on them, or can you turn those pumps up like you can the p pumps. thanks

Anything can be made to fit, P pumps are common to put on them, if you want to pull superfarm you will pretty much have to go to a P pump, takes a lot of machining to keep it all together.

My 2255 has an inline pump on it, not the older v style. There is fellow near me that put a pump off the Mack v8 and pulls 10k super farm. That motor can be turned up pretty high, but it is definitely hard on it, but like any engine it is all how you take care of it..... Good luck, Marc
