Is there any way to get manufacturing information on old Olivers? I have a 1944 Oliver 60 Standard that I have owned since 1960. It seems like I heard you can get some information from Charles City on where the tractor was originally shipped, pricing, etc. but I don't recall who to contact.

Sorry, there isn't any information on the early Oliver tractors. All of the information has been destroyed long ago on models prior to the "Super' series. There are raised casting numbers on the left hand side of the engine crankcase just in front and behind the Carb. The fourth row down will be the date the crankcase was cast. Mine is 8287 (looks kind of like a tag) which translates to August 28, 47. Add 3 weeks to a month for engine assembly, shipment and installation in Charles City and thats about as close as you can get.
