The clutch pack comes assembled with .050 shims under each of 3 brackets. If clutch plates are not worn outor seperated then remove shims .010 at a time and try engagining it on bench. should have a nice clean snap to handle. Shims are ussualli installed 1 .010 and 2 .020 or 3 .010 and 1 .020 for total of .050. if some have all ready been removed then you will most likely have to replace plates. I have a couple used ones but brand new reproduction would be best bet. let me know how I can help. Irv

First of all how much effort is requirred to snap the clutch overcenter? Remember the clutch is a wet clutch so you will loose some oil when you remove the cover. I would try to adjust the clutch first. Remove the same number of shims from each shim pac. 2 or 3 should do it. Irv will have plates if you need them. Perhaps someone can scan or photocopy the instructions for you. Questions? J.
