The water pump on my 50 (buda 273) is leaking. Could someone tell me who rebuilds these? Also, the hydraulic pump grinds a little when I engage it. I use it to occaisionally lift my 456 mower, should I leave it engaged all the time?

Those water pumps are simple to rebuild. If you can get the seat resurfaced you can do the rest yourself if you have a small press. Questions? Send a reply. Questions? J.

I'm sure I will have questions once I get it off and taken apart. It'll probably be a few days before I get this project started. Thanks.

Tell me more about doing a rebuild, I have several that need it. Resurface the seal seat, but new rotary seal and or bearings are they something I can get from my local bearing supply house? Thank You

John,
you are only to engage the hyd. pump when the engine is not running. Mike

Thanks Mike. That's what I needed to know. The manuals I have don't mention a thing in regards to engaging it.
