On my way to work yesterday I took a new road and saw an abandoned Oliver 77 just a few miles from my house. I could not tell if it's a WF or NF, but there was no mistaking the shape. In my humble opinion, the 77 was the best looking tractor ever made. I really don't need it as I have a DB880, but if I were to try to buy it, any idea what it might be worth?

I know if it was close to where I live I would be all over that tractor in a heart beat. But I do like my Olivers LOL. I'd go up to if not over $500 for it and no matter what could make my $$ back with it haveing the side curtains

I have some nice side panels that people tell me I am nuts to ask $200/set for!

Figure up what the known GOOD parts are worth and divide in half.Hard to go wrong .You probably won't get it for that, then don't buy it.

On quick glance this morning on my way by I could tell it had at least one side curtain. I was going to stop and take a photo from the road, but there was a car behind me. Maybe I'll be able to get one this afternoon on my way home.

One like that you never know about what it might be worth. Shoot one like that could run well or it could be locked up. So as far as what its worth its what ever you might be able to buy it for. Or in other word it could be scrap price of $150-200 or it could be up around $1500 or better if it has all the side curtain which are worth around $500 just for them depending on where you are. But it does sound like the type of tractor I like to buy and play with

It's about 2-300 feet from the road, it looked like it had the side curtains (which is what I love about the old olivers) and you could see the front sheet meatl was still yellow. I'll have to take a drive by this weekend to see if the owner will let me look at it

Well if it still has all the sheet metal as in haveing side curtains then its worth more just for the curtains. In my area the curtain would have been long gone if it was parked that close to a road. Some one would have stopped in the middle of the night and removed them around here. Took me years to wheel and deal to get a full set for my 77. Picture of it and some of my other toys are on the web site

Taking those side roads can be dangerous to your wallet.
