I don't know anything about the Oliver HydraPower drive. The 1550 I'm going to look at has it. Were they considered good? Durable? Repairable within reason? I don't even know how they work.

I seem to have acquired an attraction to Oliver; never owned one; what happened to me anyway....

Thanks,
Dennis

We have three with the hyda-power drive, and four with over/under hydraul-shift(3-speed),and have had no particular problem with either.
In my opinion,it's a very good unit.
Wouldn't hurt to replace the filter and fluid if ya get it. ~brad

Guess you saw the light and wanted to get a real tractor that will pull when the going gets tough LOL. You know the old saying about Olivers was, Oliver for the tough pull. Can't help with the hydo thing I have never owned on with it but I do own 4 Olivers at this time. Sure wish I could sell one of them so I could get another Oliver like a 70, or 80, or what would be real good a Super 44
