thanks Guys we got her running last night and then cleaned the fuel system today and ran her up Fishback Hill she pulled strong in 5th gear even after locking up a brake. I'm quite happy with it. Just hard to believe that we got her for nothing.
We hope to have it at Brooks this weekend and next.

Walt, most 35's that were decaled deluxe did stay in Canada, and the blackhawks came to the U.S., but this is not always true. If you restore and paint the choice is yours to make. I have the 43rd one made in 1957 (serial numbers start at 10001 for 1957) and it is a blackhawk that came to the U.S. (Indiana). Few made good collectors item. Dave Morlock

What you have is a 1956 cockshutt 35 serial numbers started at 1000 so your is an early one. it should be the two tone deluxe paint scheme no matter what but thier was two different decal sets for the 35. one was the cockshutt deluxe and the other was the blackhawk 35. they were only decaled as blackhawks in 56. yours chould be either but since its an early 56 it more than likley was a blackhawk. there were only 1850 cockshutt 35s built so you have a rare tractor. mike

Further to what Mikefri said- I believe they decalled the early '56's as Blackhawks if shipped to the US, and as 35 Deluxe if kept in Canada. But I could be wrong, as I was once before :>) I have 35 no. 1072 or 1079 (can't remember offhand), in western Washington.
