I have a 550 that makes a high pitched almost sqeal when the engine is reved up, no noise at idle. The noise appears to come from the hydralic pump area and goes away when I take the pressure off the system by opening bypass on external controls. Any ideas about what this is and how to find out for sure? Thanks alot for any help received.

I sent you an e-mail, also if you let your 3 point down several inches will the noise go away. Also does your remote vale spool center or is it bound up? Let me know if you do or do not get the e-mail. J.

I would look into the relief valve, may be stuck, broke or have some dirt in it

Thanks for the reply. How hard is that to get to to check it out? Are parts readily available if it is broke? Thanks for helping a novice.
