I found one of these in pretty nice shape. I don"t know anything bout them because I"m a IH fella. Is there some goods or bads about these. I think it can be bought for around 1800 is it worth it. Just needs tubes oh yeah are they suppost to be green yellow and red or green and white I"ve seen both. Are these rare or not. I want it to farm and to pull farmstock. Whats everyone think of them Thanks to everyone cause I don"t know anything about them

Just paid $2200 for a reasonably nice S88D standard front end. You don't mention configuration and that can affect value - Adj wide fronts with high clearance will bring twice that or more, while narrow fronts probably least pricey. If you post s/n someone can tell you original config or you can get build card from Floyd Co Museum in Charles City, Ia. If it runs good, buy it.

No white color on the Super 88. You'll need serial number for correct color scheme. A darned good tractor with no major faults. Just about any running tractor is worth $1800 so I'd say the price is right.

Well if you know farmalls that S88 will pull circles around an farmall 450 at the drop of a hat. Olivers for the touch pull and they will believe me leave a farmall in the dust. I had a farmall 450 and then I got my S88 and the S88 out pulled the 450 hand down. So yes in my book thats not a bad price if it runs good and has good tires and sheet metal. They also make good pulling tractors. My S88 out or 17 tractor came in 4th and I was 150LBS light and ran in to low a gear. Olivers just plain don't know when to stop pulling. Guess you can say if I had only one tractor it would be green and other then my one JD it would be an oliver
