Can anyone help with some information on this tractor? The decal says Oliver 300. However, I have searched this site as well as the internet and have not been able to find any information on it. I have searched as Oliver 300 and White-Oliver 300. I may have a chance to buy this tractor and I'm try to figure out a fair price to offer. The owner doesn't know much about it except that it is a diesel and last ran fifteen years ago.

I would appreciate any help that I can get. Thanks....

I don't know what the value of the tractor would be, but if you decide not to buy it to restore, you may want to part it out. Let me know if you do. I know someone who might be interested. He has two 500s already. [email protected]

Thanks to all for the help in correctly identifing this Oliver. My next question is what would be a fair price to offer? I have not personally seen this tractor, it's 1200 miles away. It's located on my brothers girl friends farm. It hasn't run or been moved in 15 years. They say that it was running when parked. Don't know if there is water in the radiator or not, so don't know if anything is cracked (Head, block, etc.) or not. I know this not much to go on!!! But, maybe I could get a ball park figure to start at.

Again THANKS for the help!!!

I knew I could depend on the YTMag folks for help.

Definetly an Oliver 500 which was actually a David Brown 850 imported and rebadged by Oliver from 1960 though 1963.

Its a david brown model most likly a 500.5 bolt front hubs and the boxy side rail frame are a dead ringer.

Looks like a David Brown/Oliver 500 from here. Do you have any other pictures? Does it say David Brown on the Transmission cover? How many bolts hold the front wheel on? When you sit on the seat is there a serial number tag about by your right foot. Later, got to go farm a while yet! More questions send anothe post. J.

I went back and did what I should have done in the first place; blew the pictures up. Your right the decal says 500 instead of 300 with the Oliver emblem on the other end.

Here is the only two pictures that I have of the transmission cover and right side. I don't see any name or serial number tag.

Here is one of the five bolt front wheel.

I have never heard of one before and sure would like to know what you find out. Looks a lot like a super 55 or 550. You may have found a rare one or you may have found one that some one put decals on but it was never really made just made to look like what it isn't. Either way I want to know what you find out about it

After replies from MikeS55d, Larry from md, and J Schwiebert I went back and blew the picture of the decal up and it's a Oliver 500.
