Just got a 1650 gas. Have a question.

What is the fuel consumption /hour of this tractor? Under both light load and heavy load?

My 1650 will use 5.6 gal. per hr. pulling a 4-14" semi-mount plow. Throttle down and gear up for light loads like raking hay or cultivating and it will use about half that amount.

Nebraska tractor tests report 5.696 gallons per hour under 100% load. I doubt that you would ever achieve 100% load under actual field conditions. They do not test them under light load since that is a vague term. From experience I can tell you they are substantially thirstier than a diesel of the same model, especially under lighter load conditions. With gas at $3.00 plus a gallon, a gas tractor is hardly practical unless you put VERY FEW hours per year on the tractor.

unless those are winter hours then a gasser makes a lot more sense.
my 1650 diesel plowing 22 acres used about 3.5 gallons a hour pulling 4-16 10" deep in 2cd low 2400 rpm keeping water temp less than 210 in 80degf weather
