Hydraulic problem

I have developed a hydraulic problem after having Perkins rebuilt on 1850 diesel. I had power steering lines disconnected for this. Also pulled pto shaft out. Do I have air in lines? If so how do I bleed them? I did not realize about rubber o-ring on shaft at first. It may have dropped somewhere inside. Had to get new one. On haybine, cylinder will go down with one line hooked up, but not stay. With both lines it does nothing. Any thoughts?

When it does nothing with the 2 hoses hooked up? It could be in the couplers. Do you have another cylinder you can try. Do you have couplers on the other side unless you have an 1850 special? Got a phone number?

Mr Schweibert. Thank you for acknowledging my problem. I feel very lucky. I decided to pump out fluid and change filter. Fixed problem.I did not block off open lines during engine rebuild. May or may not have been problem, and I would not be surprised if blockage was in couplers. Much thanks for advice. I am sure I will have more questions. I love this tractor. Tim
