I am tring to replace the clutch on an oliver 60 row crop.i have never worked on one before and don't have a book .It looked simple unbolt the driveshaft coupling and slide it out, but that didn't work. It seems like the motor will have be slid forword .Can someone tell me if this way get it out or post a diagram ? Thanks, James G

I had two guys write me emails about this subject but, you left no email address or number so I couldn't answer your questions. Yes the clutch plate linings and rivets are available and also the throwout brg assy. Write me again and leave your email address so I can get back to you.

I just removed the clutch on my 60. The linings are still available. Remove both bolts in the coupler by the trans. and slide the coupler forward. Take all the bolts out of the bell housing and wiggle it around a little. I gave mine a 1/4 turn to the left, titled it back and the shaft will tilted down. When this happens, push the shaft to the rear and the shaft with the bell housing will come out. It takes just the right wiggle and the right words.

The engine does not need to be slid ahead. It can be done, 40 years ago we had a guy who liked to do that and he would go out in the country and put them in. I will have to think about that, you need to tip the bell housing a certain way if I remember right. There are more people working on little 60's than what there were 40 years ago. J.
