So I've rounded off the drain plug ( why did they use such soft metal?). Vice grips won't hold it, wrenches won't do it, and don't use the drill out sets or the hardened tap will break off. Any suggestions? Can I weld a nut on there? Others have told me the plug metal is too soft. I tried dropping the oil pan, but there is no human way to get to the pan bolts that are under the front of the engine unless someone has some tips on that.
Thanks in advance.
