I have an Oliver 62 W wire tie baler. It is in grerat condition for it's age but has a couple of problems and I need some help.
First, it ties great on the left side (facing the baler from the rear) but the right side will twist the tie and then more often than convenient will not cut and twist around the rotating shaft. Many times there are 2 different twist ties wrapped up. It will tie 20 then miss 3 then tie 4 then miss 5, real hit and miss.

Also, I need pick up teeth for this baler. I know some Hesston teeth will fit but I need the Hesston part number. Anyone out there who can help?
Thanks in advance!

I was in late grade school or early high school when my Dad and 3 other neighbors purchased a 60w baler. It was one of the first 50 pilot models produced. It's been too many years to recall the details. There were some adjustments that could be made as the knotters wore. I think there was a set screw and lock nut you could adjust on the part that cut and held the wire. Would recommend you get an operators manual to help you. You might also try a New Holland dealer because I think they used the same style knotter. Our old baler was very dependable and needed little maintenance.

The pickup teeth part number from my parts book is "5LT-6092- requires 20". Keep in mind that this part number is out of the Oliver parts book from 1962, but if you get lucky, it pry would cross over. In the mid 90's we got a bunch of teeth on our 62T at our old Oliver dealership. Pry not this number, but a "30-" White number. As for knotters, I know nothing. Hope that much helps!
