Hello, have been getting a lot of seat time on the 550 lately. Moderate/heavy work using loader, plow, cultivator, and blade.
At approx. 1700 rpm I use 1.75 gallons of gas per hours. Does this sound about right??

Like my Grandpa always said, the greater amount of work done the greater amount of fuel you will use. When he worked fields for the canning factory he always preferred the Olivers - 1650 to 1850"s models. His co workers preferred the 3010 to 4020"s. BUt he pulled one more bottom and turned the sod deeper so was doing more work each hour and more acres per day, so his fuel consumption was usually a little more.
