We have an Oliver 1365 that was used in California orchards. The model number is: #535-22035. It needs a starter. Ours is a Marelli M.T.380B-4A12DV (or it could be a 38QB). (Says Made in Italy.) This starter resembles the one used on the 1465/1470 Oliver, but is not the same size and mounting configuration. The tractor has the two factory-built fuel filters above the starter, so the replacement starter for other 1365 models (with solenoid mounted on top) will not fit. Does someone have a good starter like this, or suggestions?

I can get you an aftermarket starter that looks just like the old one. I put one on my 1365, and it works good. If you are interested, let me know.

Like stated in another post, you may have find a starter rebuilding shop to do this. I had to do this on an old International pickup a few years ago. Find an auto parts store that isn"t too affiliated with a "lifetime warranty" national chain and ask them to send it off to have it rebuilt. I believe (if memory isn"t failing too bad) that the company that rebuilt mine was Westling. It took about 10 days from the time I gave it to them until I got it back and the price was pretty reasonable.

If I was in your shoes, I would seek a starter rebuild shop. Your tractor model not being as common as the regular one, it might be difficult to find something.
