Just a curious qestion, what does C88F after the 6 digit number mean on an 88

If you have an early to middle age 550 it served the same function as the 519 in your serial number.

It is the designator for the transmission/ring & pinon combination. Those 88 tractors were available with more than one ring & pinon so there were regular speed transmissions and slow speed units as well. There were also some changes in the speeds of some gears. What is the rest of your serial number?
