I spent Saturday on my Dad's 1755 working up 30 acres. I teach school so I don't get as much chance to get to eastern Iowa to do farm work as I would like. It sure was fun pulling the White 263 disc. It kind of serves as my therapy. Was in the field for 3.5 hours and only used 7 or 8 gallons of fuel.

Spend as much time with Dad as you can. I'm closer to mine than ever. His quadruple heart bypass last spring made me realize he won't be here forever. As I've grown older, I've learned I'm not as smart as I thought I was and Dad is a lot smarter than I ever gave him credit for. We have our bad moments just as I remember him and Grandpa having, but by the end of the day we are buds again. It goes to say every son wants his Dad to be proud of him and I bet your Dad is proud and thankful when you come home to help out.

Ditto that AB! My father just passed away this March. I am thankful of all the memories of working with him on the farm that was his and now is passed on to me. He taught me to drive an Oliver 1750, then our present 1755, his favorite tractor from Oliver. I have a picture on the stuck and troubled site of him on a MM G-850, (yellow Oliver) pulling me on on the 1755 from a couple of years ago. It brought tears to my eyes to think that won't be happening again. I guess I'll have to have train my son and pass on the legacy.
