Hi, I have a oliver super 55 and I am trying to get the pto spider hub off but ain't having much luck. I have pulled the pto clutch pack out of the hub and the manual says to unstake the spanner nut but I don't see anything like a tab bent over in the slot of the nut to be a stake. The nut will not move . can anyone tell me where these stakes would be to lock this nut ? thanks for your time and help.
Scotty

You won't see a tab as such. The front lip on the nut is just bent down into one of the slots on the shaft. You may have to modify a punch by grinding the tip to about a 45 degree angle and driving it carefully under the lip to get it out of the slot. Hope this helps, I had to do this on a 550.

Thanks Max, I think I do remember a small lip on the front of the nut. I'll look to try to find were it was staked or just drive up on the lip all the way around the lip to bend it up away from the shaft. Thanks alot Max
