770 toolbox placement

I will be mounting the factory 3 point (Power traction hitch) to my 770 soon. Where does the tool box get located to? The factory manuals and such don't mention it's new location.

Mr. Star is right about the tool box for the earlier 770's. The later ones used the same tool box as the 1600's. That one has the lid attached to the box, and a over center latch.

This information is shown in the late parts book.

The tool box that is used with the 3 pt hitch is different from that used without hitch. It bolts to the inside of the axle flange (inside of where the fender is attached) with two 1/2" bolts. You will have a tough time finding one, you could probably modify one that bolts to the seat.

I found the one for the traction hitch in the book. It's the same box itself but has a different mounting bracket underneath. This look like it's a very easy fabrication so that's what I'll go ahead with. Thanks for the help.
