Does anyone know what 102 082-A Additive is? Where do you get it? The dealers around here, sw mich, don't know what it is. Is there another product that can be used in it's place? Thanks.

In the years of the 50s&60s Oliver used 10w motor
oil in hyd. systems and 10/30 motor oil in some
trans.102-082 add. was a black color extreme
pressure lube, mixed 1 to 16 in the oil.Modern hyd. and light weight trans.lubes need no additives. I belive the 102-082 was dropped when
White brought out there own line of lubes.

Justice Brothers Heavy Duty Vehicle is an excellent substitute for Oliver 102 082-A Oil Additive. I am using it in a 1800 and 1850, in all the systems. WORKS GREAT! I can fax or e-mail you some more info if interested. Also can get you the name of the distributor in your area or you can go to justicebrothers.com.

The additive is an anti-wear compound for heavy gear loads. I haven't tried to locate any of it. My 770/880 Operator's Manual says Type A transmission fluid (Dexron) can be substituted in place of it. That's what I use.

Don't know what their thinking is, recommending Dexron transmission fluid as a extreme pressure additive, because it aint one. Regular old 10-30 motor oil(of good quality that is)has more anti-wear additives than Dexron transmission fluid.
