We have an Oliver 1800A gas that developed a vibration last spring during a plow day. It seems to be coming from the Hydraboost unit, as it does it in neutral with the clutch out. It gets worse as you rev it up. The direct/under still works fine. I havent had a chance to get into repairing it, but have been thinking about it so I thought Id post a question. Some suggestions have been a bad bearing in the unit, a wore out chain coupler or a misalignment between the halves of the chain coupler...Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

FYI and this is by luck I just read that the bolt was first added about 1969, so the bolt Biason istalking about was never used on the 1800 series. There is a hole there so if it has not been added do so.

Check the bolt underneath and to rear of the over and under , that bolt is to line up the chain coupler sprockets , and steady the transmission. mayby it came loose.
It solved my trouble with vibration.
And look at the motor mount bolts to while you are at it.
