Are the sheet metal panels on all the 4 series tractors interchangable? I need a set of front panels. They fit below the hood, and fasten to the cast grille. I have found a set from a 1600
from out of state.

My gut tells me NO, ideally you would have to take some measurements if possible, but I don't think sheet metal from a 1600 would fit your 1850. I could take some measurments off my 1600 if you want me to.

Hi Donovan, Well, just got an email from the seller. Those panels are off of a 1650. That ought to fit?

We got a 5 bottom Oliver plow delivered this weekend. No identification on it but I think it is a 548? I hope to post a photo of it soon. It's a toggle trip. Missing one frog. All wear parts are good or better. No cylinder. Not welded up anywhere. No coulters. I hope someone can I.D. it for me so I can get a manual.

I still don't think so, the panels would fit between the 1600 and 1650, but the 1850 is bigger and a completely different tractor. Others may know for sure. Are these on Ebay?

When you say toggle trip do you mean spring reset or cushion trip?? Spring reset has 2 large coil springs on top, cushion trips do not have smaller springs along the top of the bottom that allow the bottom to move rearward about 1" without tripping. If your backbone is 6x6 square tubing then it is most likely 548, if it looks like 2 pieces of channel turned on edge and welded then it is a 565 or 566.. Get me a picture and I'll tell you what it is..... I have 565,566, 348, 549 and 598 Olive/White plows so I should find one that is similiar.... Marc

Cushion trips then. Yep, it's a big sq. tube backbone. I hope to get a photo posted tonight. Need a cable for the camera first. Can't find it.
