Did some plowing Saturday and it seems like when I put my plows in the ground my govenor is a little slow coming in. I put a new thrust washer in it last year when I rebuilt the engine. Bumper screw spring is very finger tight at idle speed.Anyone got any ideas? Timeing is good and I feel like the carb adjustment is close. Thanks for help in advance.

Thanks for reminding me about those weights. I meant to check those when I put electronic ignition in my tractor last year. This tractor had been sitting for about a year when I bought it and I bet they are sticking.

THIS IS GOING TO SOUND REALLY DUMB, BUT, CHECK TO SEE THAT THE COUNTER WEIGHTS IN THE DISTRIBUTOR ARE RUNNING FREE TO SWING OUT AND IN,
IF THEY ARE FREE RUNNING, MAYBE ADVANCE DIST. 1, OR 2 DEGREES, AND OPEN UP THE "POWER SCREW" ON CARB ABOUT A QUARTER TURN, AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS.
LET ME KNOW HOW YOU MAKE OUT, I HAD SIMALAR PROBLEM, AND DID THIS WITH MY OLIVER AND IT WORKED GOOD, ALSO CHECK YOUR POINTS, MAKE SURE THEY ARE FIRING BLUE, WHEN CRANKING, THAT MAKES A BIG DIFFERENCE TOO.
