I had to laugh at myself. I bought a cheap magnifier today to read some of the code letters on some small hydraulic valves. It puts a different prospective on the picture. The 1950T did have dual air cleaners and they had a 1650 part number. The 1950T was introduced before the over-under unit so that would make it in the winter of 67-68 because of the coats on the rack. Alot of the 1950T tractors had the fender tanks. The hubs were an option because half of the T models we sold did not have them. I gues I should have purchased a higher quality magifier, oh well Wallmart has the cheap ones good enough for out in the shop.

That tractor looks bigger than a 1650. And look at the muffler. Looks like a 1950T and the muffler is blocking out one of the intakes to us.

One of the signs says to see the new Over/Under Hydraul shift. Was that in 1968?

Sam

I agree on the Sam thing, but the picture has to be after April of 67. Looking at the tractor with the fender tanks it sure looks like a direct injection manifold and the air cleaner indicates 1650 and they came out in April of 67 if I remember correctly. My 2 cents worth. Pa show is in January isn't it?

What makes you think it is a 1650?

From where I am looking at the picture, the air cleaner is behind the muffler. That to me gives me 2 choices a 1550 with a dry air cleaner (I think) never had one with a dry cleaner on the place but it was an option)and a 1650. Since is had the direct injection exhaust manifold 1650. 1750 would have the air cleaner ahead of the muffler. My 2 cents worth. What do you think it is?

the tracter is a 1950T you can tell by the dual headlight's.and the double flang hubs on the rear axle!never saw those on 1650.1950T have dual air cleaners behind the muffler.the tires and muffler are to big also.sign says new threeway hydra shift.puts it mid 67 or later

It can only be one of three tractors. The 1650, 1750, or 1950-T were the only tractors to use the direct injection engines in the 50 series. There are at least one thing about the tractor that is not correct for a production tractor. (any one of the three) It's probably a pre-production tractor. I will let other people offer a guess before I do. I very well may be wrong, and this would not be the first time, but I would like to hear other opinions before I offer my 2 cents.

I would like to know what Mr. Stars opinion is.

Is't that Sam White standing in front of the tractor with his back mostly to the camera?

Also I think the picture was taken in early 1967.

Maybe the winter farm show in Harrisburg, Pa.????? Just a guess.

The exhuast stack on the tractor looks awfully large to be a 1650. Wasn't there a short period of time when the 1950T had the single air breather? Could the man standing behind the table be Herb Morrel?

It certainly looks like a 1950T to me. Other than that, I just wish I would of been around to be there and see it.... Marc
