I just purchaced an Oliver tractor that is missing the rear side panels. It does have the ID tag and states the Serial # 15-859-702 and the Spec # 17-0227. These numbers do not seem to fit the serial # listings unless I am supposed to drop a few numbers in the grouping. Anyway I would like some help identifying this tractor. It has the adjustable wide front, 3 point and hydraulics. Also, are the rear side panels interchangable, in other words, would a rear side panel off a 77 fit an 88 or an 88 standard fit a Super 88 RC? Thanks

Side panels will not interchange between a 77 and 88 (super or non-super). The 88 is physically bigger and requires bigger sheet metal.

I think you have a 1955 Super 77. The '702' in the serial number refers to the transmission options, I believe. The '17' in the spec is for the S77 series.
If I am wrong, somebody will correct me...
And I think that the side panels are interchangeable between Row crop 77 and 88. Maybe not between row crop and standards.
