Here is the beast. Found a 1650 with Wak diesel and a fist sized hole in the block and a cam in 3 pieces. Found a 356.6 out of an 1850 for a song. Rebuilt engine including slugs ands jugs on ebay for $35 a hole. My father and I realized that tractor rebuilding was not an economic endeavor, but more of cheap therapy. He is in the autumn of his years and I suspect I will remember these days the most, even if it includes cussin an bleedin fingers. What an endeavor transplanting this motor. The oil pan alone was hair-raising. If nothing else, we will run er on straight ether and watch the sparks fly, and then put in a cummins! Thanks to all the online folks who have helped.

Sorry for the fuzzy photo. This shows the extent to which we are trying to keep this motor within the 1650's tin. Intake manifold from a truck (I believe Dodge) a tad modified, and an exhaust manifold off a combine running outside of tin. With any luck, I'll snap a few more pics when she'a turning oil into beautiful noise.

Here is a couple of sites to put your pictures On the first site just follow the instructions.

On photobucket just copy and paste the "tag" under your picture then paste it either in the window that says---Optional Image URL. Or you can paste it directly under your message in comments, after you type your message.HTH

You can use a free image uploading site. I use Village Photo. You can up load and stor the images on their site, then add the URL at the bottom of the posting.... just below the message box. You can post a single pic in the Optional Image URL or you can put a link to an album with several pics if you use Optional Link URL and put in a name for the link. It is best to have images about 640 X 480 pixels or the file size will be too big.
