I just returned from my trip to O'Brien County Implement in Shledon, Iowa. I have been working with Tom Schemper over the past week to line up parts. Without a doubt Tom is one of the MOST helpful parts managers I have ever worked with. After talking with him and going through his old stock inventory here is what I came home with:

NOS pistons and sleeves (bearings and one-piece wrist pins)
Gasket Kit
Front and Rear Coupling sprockets and chain
New 12-point rob bolts
Hydra-Drive rebuild kit
Miscellaneous hoses and filters

This is in addition to the following:

Rebuilt Injector Pump
Reconditioned Injectors
Rebuilt Head.

Now I have the parts, I just need to fire up the heater in the shop and get to work on the engine and hydra-drive in that darned old 1800. After all, hay season is just around the corner.

Jim

Didn't notice any paint on that list, hate for you to have to make another trip. Once you get the mechanical back to like-new you will want to re-paint her.

No paint on the list right now. My intention is to make it mechanically sound this spring and get it painted next winter.

Got to agree with you, Tom is very good at what he does, when I called about parts for my 880 and 1955, he knew before I was done explaining what I needed. We bought a 105 from them last year sight unseen turned out to be a wonderful tractor for it's age, it was just what they told me over the phone. Definitely will buy from them again!! Good luck with the rebuild! (My mechanic always warns me about replacing the water pump, says you don't want to take a chance overheating a new engine, just a thought).

I rebuilt the water pump last summer so that is already taken care of for this round.
