My main bearing has a # D600g on it. Could somebody tell if it is standard or +.010 or what it is. Help would be greatly appreciated.

George I am in southern MD. Where are located? I was going to do a inframe overhaul but it seems it will have to do major. Is there such a thing as measuring the bearing? The machine shop here is not so great. Thanks for yhe help.

G, I'm about as far north in md as you can go, I'm 1000 ft south of the pa line and 3 miles east of the susquehanna river near the little town of whiteford. You can measure the bearing ,BUT that will only tell you what the crank was when it was assembled not how much it has worn or if it is round. John is absolutely right ,you need to measure the crank. How far down in southern md are you , I could go for a ride or you could . I haven't been off the reservation for a while , could take the cook for a ride . Email is open .

You better measure the bearing or the crank.don't be guessing. Also your new bearings will be for an F-series engines and will not have a d on them. You will also need 3 right and 3 left bearings for the rods. Standard sizes are hard to find. I know a shop in Ohio that had several sets. Questions?
