Hey guys, I usually don't venture over to this color of green but...

I'm looking for a connecting rod. I really like the Waukesha 310 rod found in the 1755 tractor. It can be made to fit REALLY nicely in the 2Cyl Deeres. I want one with a similar design but with a bigger rod journal. The bolts are at quite an angle which helps them clear the back of the case. The rod journal is 2.4375 on the 310 engine. Got any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Waukesha 310 rods have a bad habit of breaking.
Ask any wrecker if they have a good used 310 engine. I think you get no for anwer. All kaput.

Bison, wasn't that mostly with the Turbo versions? The rod looks pretty beefy. Were there problems with the updated bolts?

I'n not an oliver guy, any help is appreciated.

If that length suites you then you may be thinking a rod for a 99. The big end will be 3/16 inch larger if I remember correctly. It is not an angle split rod. Got any idea on what length rod you are thinking and what diameters you need for the big and little ends. Do you have an AREA connecting rod manual/

Jim, don't care about the length, that can be changed. Need the angled bolt style like the 310 engine. Looking for big end diameter of 2.5", 2.625" or 2.75". Going REALLY big on the bore, need the crank to stay in one piece...

Don't have the catalog you are referring to.
