There"s a 1650 Gas around the corner. Shows 5000 hours. Generally decent condition except for the grey slime in the crankcase. Looks like water in the oil and then driven. Didn"t even bother to change it before putting it out by the road. Has realy green Clover White wheels, the rest looks to be original paint. I thought it was a very nice $2500 tractor until I pulled the stick.

I"m in Michigan, about 1/2 hour east of the Port Huron crossing to Canada. If you seriously need a "project" I"ll grab a phone #. email me.

The local consignment auction is in 2 weeks. I bet it will show up there, and worse than that, I bet he drives it the two miles there with that slop in the engine!

If Marc is not interested in the tractor, I am looking for a tractor restoration project for a 4-H club. Our 4-H club just finished fixing a 1550 Cockshutt diesel that was leaking water into the oil. The kids had alot of fun doing this and are anxious to start another project.

Well Paul its all yours. Too much money to me for a frame, rear end and sheet metal. Might be a good project for someone that wants to rebuild it... Good luck, Marc

When I bought my 1650 in Kingston, [not that far away] It had the same slime. seems the tractor had sat outside through several thumb winters without an oil change. It took 4 oil changes with a little run time in between to get rid of the crap. Now its fine and I have had no new slime with normal oil changes. It must be something in the air over there in the flatlands. LOL By the way is Berville really a town? I grew up the the big city of Snover, We knew we were big time because we had both an IH and a Oliver dealer.
