How come I never see any rebuild kits for Oliver 60 tractors? Come to think about it I don't see too many parts at all for them. Is there a reason? I always liked these little tractors and would like to get one,but not if I can't find parts..

This has been discussed. First of all why do you want a kit? The key thing is a round bore. You can bore the sleeves and go with different pistons to fit the bore. Less money per hole than a sleeve and piston kit. Questions?

I'll agree with you on what you said, but how come I look in different parts catologs and I don't see simple things like main and rod bearings or even a gasket set. Just seems odd when they seem to have every other oliver listed except for the 60.

There is an old saying in the parts business. 20% of your part numbers make you 80% of your money. So you have a lot better chance of selling parts for the 66-77-88 and later models because of volume. Bearings, The 60 takes the same rod bearings as a 66 or 77. The main bearings will also be the same except you need to drill a few holes. Fedral Mogul may still list a main bearing set but you need to look under a 160 Waukesha. Agco has more gaskets available for 60's now than they did say 10 years ago. Some of the part numbers have been changed. Now more questions? Last head I did I put Oldsmobile valves in it. Why?. I had access to a seat and guide machine and the valves were $9.00 each so why not You need to do your homework. Questions?
