Well fella's, put the 1955 in the photo ads last week and had a lot of interest, but none very serious. Wife says keep it. I don't know, had my mind made up to sell it and put the money in the bank. Were not broke, but times have been tight. Wife says I'll regret it later if I sell it, not hardly any Ollie's in this part of the country, especially big 1955's. Mines the only one I know of anywhere around here. So I guess she's safe for now, spend some more $$$ on it and keep it.

WOW! Thats a sharp tractor for $6000! I paid 6500 for my 1755 with a loader and cab. It needs paint, and I just dropped $600 in the paint alone.

I think there is some sort of cosmic truth to the the proposition that when your wife encourages you to keep a tractor that you were thinking of selling, you should listen to her. You'll probably have more than enough opportunities to question her logic on future occasions :>)

Not really, I wouldn't have bought it if it wasn't for her. I told her about it and she wanted to go look at it, I drove it, she wanted to drive it too. She did, and we bought it. She always encourages me to buy more equipment, and she helps me use it. I am a lucky man, and yes she's good looking too!

Agreed, and it's always tough getting the money you put in back on a resale so quickly. It's not going to depreciate that fast (if at all), so run it, enjoy it, and sell it down the road if you want something else or need the money. And if you went to replace it later on, you never know what else you might find and what strange new problems it might have.

I don't guess I'll ever sell it. I keep it sheded and serviced, years and years down the road it'll probably appreciate in value some? I might replace it with something newer in a few years but keep it for a collectors item.
