One man's junk is another man's treasure. At least that is the case today. I found this Oliver sign in the creek today. It was located behind a friends house. It took a lot of digging to get, however, it is in better condition than I expected for its location.

The sign itself is about 4 feet tall and has the words Oliver running down it. At the bottom it reads "finest in farm machinery". It is red, yellow and black. It is doubled sided and is, or was at one time lighted. It is very neat. I assume it was a dealer sign. Any information on where to get parts, value restored or year produced would be appreciated. Any and all comments are welcome. I hope the picture comes out. If not it is located under help identify and Oliver sign.

I'm an oliver collector. I have seen several of these in my area & would like to have one. Would you sell yours. If so, what do you want for it.

Shaun:

Contact Sherry Schaefer, the publisher of "Oliver Heritage" magazine and I'm sure she can give you information on your sign. Her e-mail is [email protected] and her phone is 217 563-8866.

Nice find- looks like it will clean up pretty well and probably be presentable without too much major overhaul. A guy I know is really into Hudson cars, in Oregon- has about 20, lots of NOS parts, nice shop, etc. He came home one day to find a neon lighted Hudson dealership sign leaned against the door- the neon lights still worked! Note was from the owner of a building in town, who had found it while cleaning out the upper story- "Thought this would look nice on your shop". Those things bring several thousand dollars these days- its nice to have friends.

Not a clue. The closest Oliver dealer was miles away. Someone may have put it in storage and then decided it wasn't worth keeping. I wish they would have checked with me before discarding of it.
