Hello guys- tomorrow morning I have the chance to pick up some weights for the 4 digit series Oliver tractors- I am just wondering some of the prices you guys have paid, for all 3 types(slab, starter, and stack)...that way I can make a fair offer. Thanks!

I got 1 for 50 and 2 others for 30 ( slabs)

and paid 80 for 2 stacks and the base one

only 1 problem... 3 yrs ago when I set it out of the truck I could move the slab around fine...
for some reason it gained weight and I cant move it anymore.

Now that is funny. I got 2 starter weights and 4 slabs. Set them under the hay shed for a few years. Needed to lay them in the wheelbarrow and wheeled them to the truck. I sure wasn't going to carry them. I'm like you, don't remember them being all that heavy at the time I stored them.

I know that feeling!! I removed the grill from the 1600 by myself just fine(okay, so it was a little heavy...) and every other time i moved it around it took atleast 1 guy to help me lift it. Most times I used the loader when I could. Smae thing with the slabs I bought to go on the 1855. I managed to sling them around and get them on, but man were they haevy!! I think I remember hearing once they're what, 140 lbs each? Donovan from Wisconsin

I guess we could look it up but I was thinking someone told me 150# but thats mathematically the same thing... and if you took them to the grain elevator... they would both read 140 on the scales.... ( ever notice that some only register 20# increments)

Yep, the one I always go to is this way. I could take one from the 1855 and put it on our old Fairbanks scale in the shed, but man I really don't feel like taking those off any time soon!!

Maybe if I have to buy some more to put back onto the 1755 once I get that thing goin... Either way, It's got a base, 1 stack and 4 slabs. That's a good 300 plus the other 2. Still manage to get it in the air once in a while on the plow...

I bought 3 slabs for $35 each 2 years ago. That was a good deal and will probably never happen again. I think the bone yard wants atleast $50 per weight.
