Nothing will fall down in the transmission. I just bought an 88 for the loader. It went on the 770. I am now going to make the 88 the dedicated puller. Have been messing with a 77 but am now going to step up a size.

Hey Jak, what are you going to do with the pto shaft. Mine S77 somebody down the line decided to weld an extention on to run a pto hydraulic pump. I need to replace complete shaft. If you are going to get rid of your pto shaft email me..Thanks

Keith & Shawn

Thanks for the information Larry. Tis something good to know. PTO is not something I need to change right away, just keeping my eyes open for parts I need.

Larry, again thanks.

I might sell it all if the price is right,I don't know what they are going for.I'm only interested in pulling the Super 88 right now and have another tractor to use around the farm.

Yep, not hard to pull. You will loose the hyds doing it, since that is how the pump is driven.

Thats allright on the draulics,I'd like to pull that too sometime.I just didn't want anything to fall off or drop into the transmission.I've never been into an Oliver and don't want any difficulties to snag me up right before pulling season.Jak(TN).

If your runs as well as my S88 you will probably do well. I pulled my S88 this fall and came in 4th out of 17 tractors and I ran 150lbs light and was in 1st gear. If I had the extra weight and ran 2nd I probably would have come in 2nd maybe 1st

I underestimated Olivers for years until I bought this one and I was pleasantly surprised when I started pulling it.My first hook was a couple of years ago and I was down on the far end and it would die down and then start back then back down(had a stick plugging the fuel in the tank and didn't know it at the time). The tractor would just about quit and suddenly get a burst and take back off with the sled.It did this three or four times with the box up on me so I knew it was strong just needed to find what was wrong with it.Jeff Oliver found the stick and removed it.I pull in second all the time and first occasionally when I have lots of weights on it and the track is sticky.I have pulled 4500lbs in third with some open cut tire guys and out of 10 tractors I was fourth with non cuts.I enjoyed that one!Email me sometime [email protected]

This pull I was in was the first and olny pull I have ever done, I hadn't even seen a pull till this fall and figured since the tractor was there I'd enter it and see how it would do. I was in the 5500lbs class running under 5400lbs so I was light. They have a 3mph top seed so its limited a lot as far as what gear you can run. My e-mail is always open when I post on here so its easy to drop me a note
