I need to pull the motor in a Super 88 Diesel. Does anyone know of a source for the STS-99 Lifting Eyebolt and Sleeve that is listed in the Oliver Shop Manual for engine removal. Its the eyebolt that bolts onto the cyclinder head cap screw. Any info would be appreciated.

I have a pair of eye bolts from an oliver dealer, not sure what is different between them. Might part with them if someone is interested.

Not sure about that particular item; I have always just used a more generic OTC tool that drops over the lifting head capscrew and you then thread a nut over the top to secure it in place. It has a provision to hook a chain into. With 2 of these and a short section of good chain, you can span the two lifting capscrews. Probably don't need the special tool if you use what you can find with some common sense. Plenty of backyard and amateur mechanics like me have made due.

Thanks for your reply. I checked with a local machine and fitting shop and luckily, they had exactly what I was looking for. Thanks.

I just pulled mine like I would any engine using the chain that comes with the lift on two of the cap screws, but did you actually find the bolt with the ring on it?

Yes, I found the eyebolt with the 3/4" - 10 thread end on it that screws in to the sleeve which then screws on the cyclinder head cap screw for lifting the engine. I located the eyebolt and sleeve using the info in a Oliver Shop Manual and went up to a local machine shop that carries about any bolt, fitting, ect. that you could ever need and luckily, they had what I was looking for.
