Hi Keith, John, & Rich

Keith, here"s a photo of a Super 77 thats shows what your missing on your PTO Assembly. The long-handle on right hand side of the seat.

Hope your seals are ok in your Hydraulic pump?
Had troubles with the photos not uploading give it another try.
Take Care,
Mike

Hi Mike, good looking tractor. Thanks for the picture so I can see what is missing. Is there a clutch for the PTO or it is the main clutch? Mine seems to run all the time even with the clutch depressed, so I am assuming it is a life PTO. Again thanks

The tranmisson and final drive oil is check by removing a pipe plug on the righ side of the final drive case behind the axle. The hydraulic unit is checked by removing the breather unit which has the dip stick attached to it. Snaping back on the PTO clutch handle should disengage it. There is also a grease fitting on the PTO clutch throwout bearing. It needs to be greased. How often well it can vary a little on how much you use it. It doe not need to be once a day for most people in this day and age. Questions?

J, thanks for the info. went out and looked for breather, found it check oil. Show nothing on the dip stick. also the PTO runs hydraulic pump for FEL.

There is no lever on PTO to disengage. there is a hole on the lower right side that looks like it extends clear across lower reart of PTO. I guess I will pull off the cover and see what is missing.

thanks again

Keith & Shawn

Keith, if you pull that plug to check tranny fluid level and if its to full then you probably have a bad seel in the hyd pump. Not to hard to fix BTDT on my super ** put it off for a year because I was affiard of what I would find. I did it in one after noon. Which is good for an old D.A.V. LOL

Hyd oil is checked at the filler cap in the hyd unit, the cap should have a dip stick. As far as the PTO you should have a lever just behind the seat on the right side, thats your PTO lever. What do I need to do send you a page or 2 from the manual again??? If so drop me an e-mail so I can be lazy and not look for your addy LOL

Rich, fired it up this afternoon.sounds like it is missing on one or two cylinders. Will check it out in the next couple of days. Get some new diesel, fired it up on the old stuff. Wanted to make sure tank wasn't leaking and all fitting were tight before i put good stuff in it.

Keith, when you put the good stuff in or even before you do I would add some diesel fuel supplement to the tank. It might help with the injectors and all. Did you get the e-mail on the hyds????? ????? ?

Rich, I had planned on putting in some fuel supplement. I have some here some place, used it on my Fordson Power Major. Yep got you emails. Haven't been able to do much as my ISP keeps kicking me off.

I'd send you some info on the PTO but the book doesn't have any good pictures of it and how it works. If you have seal problems with the hyds you will need to pull the pto shaft to fix the seal problem. Seems like the seals are a problem on the Oliver hyd systems.
