Does anyone know of or have an Oliver 550 with the backhoe attachment? I've been wanting to get one for mine. How deep can they dig? If anyone has the specifics on them I'd really appreciate it. Also does it attach to the 3point hitch or is it bolted on the rear with some kind of frame work? Thank you. Ivan

I have one off a Case 530 for $1800.00. It mounts to the back axle. It digs about 12'or 13'.

Ivan My sonb has a 550 with loader and backhoe. The backhoe bolts onto the tractor and there is no 3 point hitch at all - top cover is flat with no lift arms or even a place for them. The hoe will dig about 8' deep and has a 14' reach. The hoe doesn't move real fast as the pump is fairly small cxap. as the hp required to run a large pump is more than the engine puts out. But it will do the job just takes longer.
