I installed the electronic ign on my 77 This past fall. I pulled one time with it and just simply ran out of power. It ran great but ran out of power. It never seem to lack power at all with the points and condenser ign. My question is should i adjust my timing one way or the other. WOuld the elec. ign change timing?? thanks.

You should be able to hear it.It might sound a little sluggish when you rev it,the n yeah I guess just try a degree or two until it works good for you.Yeah when mine is warm it kicks a little.I changed over to electronic because even with a resistor I was still burning points.Good luck.

Its not sluggish at all now. It revs very quick. it sounds great I was just wondering because I only ever ran out of power one time and it was after I did the elect. ign. Do you pull in the antique stock classes? Thats what I pull in. I normally pull in second gear at an rpm to be under the speed limit. normall 3 -3.5mph. some pulls are 5mph. and I still pull in second and do great. I wonder if first would do as good or better?? thanks take care
