Hi all. Hope everyone had a merry christmas and a happy and safe new year. I have some newbie oliver questions. Im looking at a 1952 oliver 88 gas with a wide front and loader The loader is not for an 88 but works good and Im looking at a oliver super 77 diesel with a loader also from the same guy. Im working on a deal for both. Both run good and have nice hoods. Need paint and little stuff fixed. Back tires are good on both. What are they worth? Second what are nice straight original paint side curtains worth? He has 2 sets of full curtains and then a set of open ones that just trim up the outside of the tractor. He said the open ones are for the super and that the super never had the fully enclosed sides. Is this true? What are the 3 sets worth? He also has a brand new exhaust manifold for the 77 and a brand new exhaust and intake manifold for the 88. He also has a nice gas head for a 77. What are these parts worth? Finally he has several extra buckets that can be rigged up for the loaders and a snow plow for the 77 loader. How much is the oliver widefront off the 88 worth? Sorry about the long post. Please help answer my questions and if possible list the prices for parts and tractors seperate then what a package is worth. Im thinking about buying everything. Is $4000 for both tractors, the 3 new manifolds, 3 sets of curtains, and all the spare buckets? Finally, sorry almost done, how many super 77 diesels were made? How many 88 gas? And how many super 88 diesels? Thanks you so much for your help!! Matt the rookie oliver collector

Old is right. That price is fair and full curtains were for fleetlines and standards.I'm guessing the tractors in question don't have curtains on since they have loaders. Is he trying to sell them separate? They should go w/ tractors.A wide front can sell from $400-$800.Lastly,there's nothing rare about these tractors(I'm assuming that's what you were wondering).Thousands were made of each model, more 88 gas than the others.~brad

Hey Brad
Im looking at buying the 2 tractors with loaders, 3 sets of side curtains, new manifolds for the 88 and a new exhaust manifold for the 77, and several extra buckets for the 2 tractors. I was just wondering how much the parts were worth, but they are included. I was also just checking to see how many were built for my knowledge. Thanks
Matt

That price is right in the ball park. I see side curtian sell for as much as $500 for a set. As far as the curtains for a Super hes right they are open sided. The fleetline and standard had the full covers on them. So that 88 should have the type that hides the engine and the super the one that don't hide the engine. Drop me an e-mail I might be interrested in a set of side curtains also I can show you a few pictures of 77s and Super 88s
